G4CLF Transceiver with JF3HZB VFO

One of my latest projects has been to make an Analogue Display Digital VFO to go with the G4CLF Transceiver. The JF3HZB VFO is an easy to build circuit using an ESP32 Microcontroller, Si5351a Programmable Clock Generator and 1.8″ TFT Display. I constructed the VFO in a separate module that can be moved around. The VFO is programmed to account for the 9.000Mhz IF offset needed for the G4CLF exciter. Band changing is not a problem as the VFO has Adaptive Step Control which allows the frequency display speed to go faster as you turn the tuning knob faster. Using a CNC Rotary Encoder for tuning makes it a dream!
